How is the age calculated?
The calculator counts complete years first, then the remaining complete months, then the remaining days. For example, if you were born on January 31 and today is March 1, the months count uses the days available in February to make up the partial month.
What does "as of date" mean?
The "as of" date is the reference point for the calculation. It defaults to today, but you can change it to calculate how old someone will be on a future date or how old they were on a past date.
What if someone was born on February 29?
Leap day birthdays are handled correctly. In non-leap years, the birthday is treated as falling on March 1 for the purposes of the next-birthday countdown.
